Mrs. Bell's 7th Grade Classes Idea Submissions

Mrs. Bell's 7th Grade Classes Idea Submissions

Hello Students!

Thank you so much for letting me join you last Friday! I had a great time and gathered some terrific ideas. I know that we ran out of time in almost every period, so I wanted to give you a chance to tell me more. Below I have provided a link to the presentation, a list of issues in Uganda, some tools and building materials they have access to, and other information. Some of the topics under "ISSUES" are links to sites with useful information about the topic. Feel free to tell me any of your ideas or ask me questions using the last question on this form. Thanks again!

RESTRICTIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS
-If you are thinking about shelter, can you add a way to catch water to your house?
-It is hot during the day and sometimes very cold at night
-If you are thinking about shelter, can you add a garden to your house?
-If you are thinking about shelter think about sunlight. We want to close all the buildings up because of mosquitos, but sunlight is important for our physical and mental health. It makes us happy!
-There are only two kinds of seasons: one is dry, windy, and hot and the other is wet, and sometimes cold. Sometimes, between seasons, these two types of weather will happen in the same day.

ALSO, think about combining solutions. Can a shelter provide water and food? Can education and hunger be solved in with the same idea?
